Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (FBISE) exams are always unexpected.
According to my experience of federal board examinations, I have analyzed lots of papers and came up with this, that one of the papers of any subject in every year made by FBISE is very tough. Many hard working students get less than their expected marks in one or more subjects. So, now you don't need to worry about this because the Federal Board facilitates the students with the improvements examination. Students of the 9th and 10th class can take improvement exams and can increase their marks very effectively.
Many students face confusion while applying for improvement or supply examination. So don't need to worry about this more. I will explain the complete procedure.
Before going to tell you about the procedure, I want to answers some frequently asked questions.
Agar ap 1st year mein hain to ap sirf 2 subjects ko improve kr sakty hain wo bhi 2nd year kay final exams kay sath.Aur agar ap nay 2nd year kay paper day diye hain aur result aa gya hai to ap 40 days bad apni marzi kay mutabik subjects (2,3,4,5 ya Saray) mein improvement dy sakty hain. Lekin improvement sirf aik bar di ja skti hai.

Question 1: What happens if your new marks are less than previous marks

This is the most common question asked by students. You don't need to worry about this because if you get fewer (less) marks from the previous result then your old marks will be placed in the result card. Also if you may fail in the subject in improvement examination, your old marks will be placed. It is the best rule by the federal board which is not present in any other boards like Rawalpindi Board, Lahore Board, and other Punjab boards.

Question 2: Do we have to give practicals of science subjects again or not?

According to the new rule of FBISE 2018, now if any student takes improvement exam for only one part then practical then he will not have to appear in practical. You have to take practical only if you have applied for a subject for both parts i.e Physics-I and Physics-II. For example, if I apply only for Physics HSSC-I, then I will not give the practical paper. If I apply for improvements in Physics HSSC-I and HSSC-II then I will have to appear in practicals too.

Question 3: Whether our DMC will show Single-Attempt or Multiple Attempts after Improvements?

I am clearing you that your DMC will show Single-Attempt even after improvement exams. So you don't need to worry about this.

Question 4: Whether You will Select for Position Holders or Not?

According to Federal Board Rules and Regulations, you will be removed from the position holders' list even if you get higher marks if you take improvements exams. So, if you are to secure a position in the board then you should not take improvement examinations.
I hope that I have managed to clear a few confusions. Now, lets come down to our topic. The steps given below should be followed to apply for the improvement exams.

Question 5: How many Chances for Improvement and Exams?

There are two chances for improvement. You can improve after 40 days of result or you can improve very next year by appearing in final exams.
If you have a COMP in the subject, then you have 3 chances to clear it. Otherwise, you have to repeat the whole session.
Now come to the main point how to apply for improvement or how to apply for supplementary exams.
